A soft place to land
A foster home gives a dog or cat time to decompress, heal, socialize, and learn what safety feels like.
Open your home
Fostering gives a rescued dog or cat the quiet, attention, and confidence they need before finding a permanent family. Every available foster helps Shelter2Rescue say yes to another animal.

Real volunteers. Sonic’s real look. Room for one more life.
Fostering, made clear
Fostering is hands-on rescue work, but you are not expected to do it alone. Here is what families most often want to know before applying.
A foster home gives a dog or cat time to decompress, heal, socialize, and learn what safety feels like.
Needs range from orphaned puppies and kittens to adults recovering from medical care or waiting for transport.
You must be at least 18, provide a safe environment, stay in touch with our coordinators, and have agreement from everyone at home.
Shelter2Rescue can assist with food and necessary supplies. Approved veterinary care and medication are covered through our partner network.
Timing depends on the animal. We work with you to find a foster situation that fits your home, experience, and availability.
Your spare room can be a lifeline
